Bridport Friends of Greenfields and Bridport Alzheimers Memory Cafe
Greenfields
Provides day hospital care for older people who have an organic mental health problem such as Dementia, Cerebral Vascular Disease etc. The symptoms of patients attending usually present as memory problems, confusion, wandering and some behavioural difficulties.
The staff endeavours to assess each each individuals patients needs and devise a programme of care to maintain their independence and skills. They also offer activities to stimulate the brain, and provide a sense of self worth.

Memory Cafe
The Alzheimers Society, in conjunction with the Older Persons Mental Health Team, are looking to open a Memory Cafe in the Bridport area. This will offer a venue for people suffering with dementia and their carers to meet on a regular basis where professionals, volunteers and other carers will be on hand to offer help, support and advice.
