Presentation to Ghana students - April 8th, 2011

The Rotary Club of Bridport is supporting the fundraising efforts of a group of Sir John Colfox students (Anna Brown, Dot Drayton, Kristie Thacker, Jess and Lucy Haley) who set off on an educational trip to Ghana in early April. The school has strong links with a Ghanaian school in Kumasi some of whose teachers have visited Bridport in recent years. The Rotary Club was impressed by the detailed planning of the trip and its clear educational objectives, and was therefore pleased to make a donation of £500 towards the costs. The students intend the trip as an extension of their A level studies, focussing particularly on aspects of climate change and on fair trade.
