Jamboree Scouts make presentation to the Club - February 15th, 2012

The Rotary Club of Bridport were very pleased to welcome at their lunch yesterday, the 14th February, Owen Gould and Rory Collier, two of the three Explorer Scouts Jamboree Team from Dorset (Amber Barton being the third unable to attend as she had moved away from the area) who came to tell us about their visit to Rinkaby in Sweden where the 22nd World Scout Jamboree was held. The club was able to help them financially to make their visit. They gave us an informative talk about their experiences with a slide show which was most interesting. It was clear that they very much enjoyed their overseas adventure where they learnt a lot about the culture of the other scouts from all over the world who were there, some 40,000 of them. Rotary was glad to be able to help them.
